alyce santoro developed a textile called “sonic fabric” a few years ago. She basically combines a coarse fabric with old cassette tape film to create a fabric that is functional and musical! it actually still plays music if you run a tape deck head over it! anyways, she’s creates really cool things (for proof click here) such as this video:
